Northrop Frye was chancellor of Victoria University when I was an undergrad student doing my English degree there. He cast a spell over the campus, and some of that magic lingers. Last summer, as part of his 100th birthday celebrations, Vic installed a sculpture of the late professor Frye. I don’t think they anticipated how things would go for him in the winter. Sitting in the snow like that, he probably caught a Great Code. Brrrrrr!
