In shorts and T-shirt, I caught the first greening in the sugar bush at Pine House Farm, Wyebridge, ON. With temperatures in the 20′s (Celsius), the maple syrup season has come to an abrupt halt. Flies are out and starting to bite. For a lot of the shots, I experimented with slower shutter speeds and wider apertures, which means a tripod was essential. The greater depth of field allowed me to play with the perspectives that the sap lines produce.
