Later in the year, I plan to launch two novels as ebooks. To test the waters, I’m starting with something smaller: an eChapbook titled Security. It’s a long short story (about 12,000 words) that will probably end up in a more polished form as a chapter in one of the novels. Security opens in Toronto at the intersection of Eglinton and Avenue Road in the office of a small business that installs home security systems. But things in the business are a bit off. By the time it ends, we’ve been floating on the high seas in shark-infested waters and have paid a visit to a whorehouse in Cairo. It’s worth noting that breasts figure prominently in the story.
I offer a number of options for reading it:
- a pdf document which you can load on your kindle or read on your pc with adobe acrobat reader or Skim (for Mac users)
- an epub document which you can load onto most other ebook readers or read on your pc with tools like Adobe’s Digital Editions and Sony’s Reader Library
All these reader applications are free.
If you’d rather listen to it on your iPod, download it either as an mp3 file or as a zip file which contains the mp3 file.
Enjoy!
